Date night..

I love date nights with my husband! It's a chance for us to go out somewhere nice, reconnect and to talk without being interrupted by our 3 year old. Oh and a chance for me to get dressed up!! We usually aim to have one a month. 
Unfortunately, my husband hasn't been working for a few months and this is has put a hold on our date nights and not to mention my shopping allowance!! It has however made us reflect on what is important to us and also how to appreciate what we have.

Monday night we were invited to our financial planner's client Christmas party. I was so excited!! Haha, as I said I don't get out much these days!

I must confess that I had a minor meltdown about not having anything to wear but I quickly remembered that I do have three wardrobes full of amazing clothes and accessories..
So the challenge was what to choose?

I chose my By Johnny skirt. I just love the colour, print and fabric. When I bought it a year or so ago I was obsessed with it and that has not changed. It's so versatile. 

To finish off I chose my silk Manning Cartel top and a couple of my favourite accessories.. I am lucky that although I have things that date a few years in my wardrobe they are still current.. Makes my shopping ban more bearable.. 

We all have great pieces deep in our wardrobes and it's about not being afraid to pull them out and experiment. You don't always have to buy something new, something I am slowly learning!
